Why are students not coming to school and what can we do about it? Opportunities will be provided to see school wide (Tier I) programs that promote good attendance and view good attendance as a behavior that has to be taught and reinforced. We will review how to utilize the Student Response Team (SRT) for Tier II and Tier III interventions. During the session, we will learn to differentiate between causes of absenteeism: medical, family/cultural, or delinquency and address strategies and interventions to improve individual student attendance (Tiers II and III) .
